By accessing or using Campus Tutor Connect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.
1. About Campus Tutor Connect
Campus Tutor Connect is an online platform owned and operated by Campus Connect LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of California. We connect verified college students as tutors with learners seeking educational support.
Our platform facilitates tutoring sessions, manages bookings, processes payments through Stripe, and provides communication tools. We do not provide tutoring services directly.
2. Eligibility and Account Creation
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You must be a current college student with valid .edu email verification
- You must provide accurate and truthful information during registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- One person may only maintain one active account
Creating multiple accounts or providing false information may result in immediate account termination.
3. User Responsibilities and Conduct
All Users Must:
- Comply with their institution's academic integrity policies at all times
- Treat all users with respect and maintain professional conduct
- Use the platform solely for legitimate educational purposes
- Report any inappropriate behavior or policy violations
- Keep personal contact information private and use only our messaging system
Prohibited Activities:
- Completing assignments, exams, or quizzes for other students
- Providing direct answers to graded coursework
- Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate communication
- Sharing or requesting unauthorized materials (copyrighted content, test banks)
- Circumventing our payment system or fee structure
- Using the platform for any illegal activities
4. Tutor-Specific Terms
As a verified tutor, you agree to:
- Provide educational guidance and explanation, not completed work
- Maintain accurate availability and respond promptly to booking requests
- Honor confirmed session appointments or provide 24-hour cancellation notice
- Create a supportive learning environment focused on student understanding
- Report any requests for academic dishonesty to platform administrators
5. Session Bookings and Cancellations
Booking Policy:
- Students can book available tutor time slots through our platform
- Bookings become binding once confirmed by both parties
- Session details and expectations should be clarified in advance
Cancellation Policy:
- 24+ hours notice: Full refund to student
- 2-24 hours notice: 50% refund to student, 50% to tutor
- Less than 2 hours: No refund; full payment to tutor
- No-shows: Full payment to tutor; student account may be flagged
Campus Tutor Connect reserves the right to override bookings and refunds in cases of policy violations or emergency circumstances.
6. Payment Terms and Fees
Payment Processing:
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Students pay upfront when booking sessions
- Tutors receive payment after successful session completion
- We implement hold-and-release payments to ensure quality
Platform Fees:
- Campus Tutor Connect charges a service fee on each transaction
- Fee structure is clearly displayed before payment confirmation
- Fees may be updated with 30 days advance notice
Refund Policy:
- Refunds are issued according to our cancellation policy above
- Disputed sessions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days through original payment method
7. Communication and Content Policy
Messaging System:
- All communication must occur through our in-app messaging system
- Messages are monitored for safety and policy compliance
- Sharing personal contact information is prohibited
Content Standards:
- All shared content must be appropriate and educational
- Users retain ownership of content they create and share
- You grant us limited rights to display and transmit your content on our platform
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates our policies
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our data practices are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

- Email verification is required for account creation
- We collect only necessary information for platform functionality
- You can request data deletion upon account termination
9. Limitation of Liability

- We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes or improvements
- Tutoring effectiveness depends on individual circumstances
- Users participate in sessions at their own risk
- We are not liable for academic consequences of sessions
Limitation of Damages:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Campus Connect LLC's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for services in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Account Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Contacting our support team
- Using account deletion tools in your settings
- Sending written notice to our legal team
We may terminate or suspend accounts for:
- Violation of these terms or our policies
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Academic integrity violations
- Harassment or inappropriate conduct
- Extended inactivity (with notice)
Upon termination, access to the platform will be revoked, but these terms will continue to apply to past use of our services.
11. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution:
Before initiating formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution through our support team.
Binding Arbitration:
Any disputes arising from these terms or use of our platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in California under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court.
Class Action Waiver:
You agree not to participate in class action lawsuits against Campus Connect LLC.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the state or federal courts located in California.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service periodically to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through:
- Email notification to all active users
- Prominent notice on our platform
- Updated "Last Modified" date at the top of this page
Continued use of Campus Tutor Connect after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
